DIPLOMA PROGRAM
The Royal School offers a Hairdressing & Barbering Diploma Program for one of the fastest growing industries, where you can build and expand your creativity as you learn the latest trends and techniques in hair design. ​In this program we will teach you to become independent and confident in building your career and skills. Our curriculum is designed to combine hands on training, demonstrations, and seminars with industry professionals. This includes cutting edge technology to best develop the next generation of professionals, just like you!​​​
Program Overview
This diploma program will cover basics to advanced training and techniques to help prepare you for a career in hairdressing and barbering, offering both theory and practical experience. Upon successful completion of this program this provides you with eligibility for career opportunities in film, television, fashion, salons, and barbershops.
Our knowledgeable and highly skilled instructors care about your success and will help guide you in this 10-month diploma program. Once you successfully complete this program, the ministry-approved content is the first step into allowing students to be eligible to write the Ontario Hairstylist Certificate of Qualifications Examination. Program Outline
Fundamentals of Hair, Health and Safety, Client Services, Professional Development, Hair Styling, Precision Haircutting and Barbering Design, Haircolouring, Texture Services, Wigs & Hair Additions, Braiding, Business Management of Hair Salons, and Entrepreneurial Skills.

Offering smaller class sizes, one-on-one training, experienced instructors, and salon experience.
​Admission Requirements
Students must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) / CAEC or equivalent; OR be at least 18 years of age and pass a Qualifying Test.
